God is the provider of wisdom, and we desperately need His wisdom for every area of our lives, including our finances. Fortunately, God is not silent on the issue of wisdom. He provides us several Scriptures about the importance and attainment of wisdom. Here are a few of those Scriptures:
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. – Proverbs 2:6
Get wisdom—how much better it is than gold! And get understanding—it is preferable to silver. – Proverbs 16:16
Arrogance leads to nothing but strife, but wisdom is gained by those who take advice. – Proverbs 13:10
The one who acquires good sense loves himself; one who safeguards understanding finds success. – Proverbs 19:8
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him. – James 1:5
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. – James 3:17
Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person. – Colossian 4:5-6
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a fool so that he can become wise. – 1 Corinthians 3:18
Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts. – Psalm 90:12
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. – Matthew 7:24
